A warm welcome from the organisers to the EHRS annual conference
It is our pleasure to present the preliminary program of the 11 th Meeting of the European Hair Research Society which will take place July 7th – 9th in Zurich.
Throughout history, human hair has been the object of cosmetic and medical interest, as well as of superstition and mystery. As early as can be traced, written documents testify endeavours shown by mankind to please by means of the hair. Nevertheless, it is only recently that we have been witnessing substantial advances in the understanding of hair biology and its pathologic conditions. Continuous progress is being made at a high pace thanks to the impetus of a generation of astute clinical trichologists and basic scientists interested in hair biology, the powerful tools of molecular biology, and innovative technologies. The European Hair Research Society Meeting encompasses to bring together enthusiastic colleagues for the exchange and discussion of the latest highlights in hair research and clinics.
Distinguished international speakers and young scientists will present up-to-date knowledge on important topics of current hair research, such as Gerontobiology of the Hair Follicle, Hair Pigmentation, Neurobiology of the Hair Follicle, Psychosomatics of Hair, Hair Follicle Immunology, Genetics of Hair, and Progresses in Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering Research. The program includes keynote lectures, free communications, clinical case presentations, workshops, courses, a poster exhibition, technical exhibition, and many opportunities for meeting with the experts and with representatives of the industry. The University Hospital of Zurich, with its teaching facilities and an ideal location in the heart of the town of Zurich, will be our congress venue. Thanks to the participation of many excellent speakers from all over the world, and to the generous support of our sponsors, we may look forward to a high-level scientific program at the Meeting, and sophisticated cultural events at the Welcome Reception and Gala-Evening.
Join our Meeting in Zurich to share with us and European colleagues your experience with Hair, either as clinician or basic scientist, and take the opportunity to combine business and leisure in the “Little Big City of Switzerland”!
It will be a great pleasure to welcome you to Zurich.
